Pretty Petals A

Hello friends

A little tutorial today - a pink and easy card using Pretty Petals A.
I feel sorry for the Pretty Petal dies, they seem to have been overlooked by fancy flowers
so I thought it was time I gave them a moment of fame!

There's two dies in the set and they measure 2" across.
I cut the solid flower from patterned paper and the intricate one from pink cardstock.
My card base, matching matted paper and card, also my layered flower.
I created a sentiment matted section for the middle of my card.
Added some twine and the leaves are from Foliage (not Sprigs... now that makes a change!)
Close up pics.
I love the character of this flower, it is the sort of flower I can draw!
Today has been a sort of a mini Friday Die Day on a Wednesday - that's a tad confusing!
All the Pretty Petal dies are available on the website here - in the Spring sale too!

Come in number 227...your prize awaits you!!
I didn't hear yesterday so hoping you are reading the blog today.

Also, just to let you know Junior Plates are back in stock.
I managed to lay my hands on a few sets - gold dust, they really are!

And Sentiments 3 is back, hurrah!
I think this is the most popular as it features 'Happy Birthday'.

Take care friends.

Charity Kit Winning Number...

Hello friends

It's time to announce the winning number of this month's Charity Kit.
It was a great success and sold out within a few days so many thanks to you all.
I'm working on May's Add-On Kit so it will be ready to announce
at the beginning of next month.

Now that winning number... seek out your bags and have a look for 227!
If it is you then please email me your address details:
hope-chances@live.co.uk
I have a fantastic prize waiting - dies, stamps, adhesive and more!

Other news...

I've received quite a few enquiries regarding the Fine Tip glue dispenser bottles,
invaluable for sticking those delicate die cuts.
I'm pleased to say they are on order and should be back in stock very soon.

The Spring Sale is still ongoing on the website and did I mention
WOW Embossing Powders are reduced too - I'm reorganising the cabin with different
stock so need to make room!

And talking of making room...Lesley asked yesterday if I will be stocking the
new Victorian and Victorian Garden dies currently being featured on
Create and Craft - yes I will, as soon as they are available.
Also don't forget I can specially order any Spellbinders dies that you need, normally
it takes just a week to get them to you, just let me know :)

Take care friends.

Come on Bluebells!

Hello friends

I hope you all had a nice weekend, the weather here was kind on Saturday but
miserable on Sunday...what a shame a day of crafting!
Thankfully the weather was still ok to walk Bella so we ventured to the woods.
The bluebells are not doing so well this year, normally it is a carpet of blue by now.
 Still pretty but sparse!
Bella investigating...
Today's craft project, a sympathy card -
not always the easiest cards to make but I think they are appreciated at sad times.
Blooms Four for the white flower and my favourite stamp set -
Scripty Sayings by Lawn Fawn.

Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

For Mum and Dad...

Hello friends

Yesterday my parents celebrated their wedding anniversary and this is the card
I made for them. It features Kaisercraft Rustic Harmony papers and
Mini Envelope Three and Sentiments 3.
It could easily double as a birthday card too.
I'm totally hooked on the new Mini Envelope dies.
They are so easy to make and look so effective on cards.
'With Love' is Sentiments 3, unfortunately out of stock at the moment but hope to
obtain more soon.  Sentiments 4 and 5 are back in stock here.

Some new items have arrived on the website, wonderful 3D Embossing Folders here
and if you are into mixed media, there are some very inspirational Spellbinders
mini books here - bargain at £2.75!

Hoping for gardening weather today please...
or if it rains I may just have to craft!
Take care friends - happy Sunday!

Blog Hopping with Bo Bunny!

Hello friends

Welcome to day 7 - the final day of the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Bo Bunny® hop!

It's been such a fun week with so many projects so be sure to stop by the
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog and look back on some brilliant creations.

I'm back with my project featured on Day 1 and this time I'm showing you
the inside of my tag book using the fresh and bright Forever Young papers by Bo Bunny.
I chose to devote my book to my youngest son Elliott who is no stranger to my blog...
he gets featured quite a lot!
On the first tag I attached die cuts and then affixed a metal embellishment with
Dodz - Medium, no chance of this falling off - Dodz are super sticky!

My second page attaches a photo and embellishments, speedily done with

My next page again features a heart (bit of a theme going on!)
This time I've used 3D Foam Hearts.  Placed the largest one onto the reverse of
patterned paper and cut around.  There are three sizes of hearts in the pack so
lots of versatility.
I then adhered one of the Bo Bunny jewels.

The next tag in the book attaches a die cut heart with 3D Foam Squares - White, Regular.
This gives the heart more definition and yet allows the tag book to close.
Also added a few more of those jewels.
The final tag in the book...although I'm thinking I could easily add more!

Be sure to comment through the Rafflecopter system to enter to win from
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L!

And take a visit to these blogs too...

Take care friends - hope you are all having a creative weekend.

Supplies used:

Bo Bunny: Forever Young Papers, Double Dot Jewels
Dies: Spellbinders - Classic Hearts, Stars Five, Labels Four, Pretty Petals D
Book rings, kraft, jade and green cardstock, luggage tag

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Whoosh!  It's Friday already!
This week's Friday Die Day features Swirl Delight.
This is a Die D-Lite, two templates in the set and the
approximate measurements are:

2¼ x 1"
3⅜ x 2⅝"

This is how it looks cut/embossed.
I've gone monochrome this week.
Onto a white card base applied strips of washi tape diagonally.
5 strips in total.
Used the largest die cut from Swirl Delight and placed vertically onto the front of the card.
Stamped 'For You' in the bottom corner.
Added Sprigs and little flowers for the finishing touch.
Close up pic.
Swirl Delight is on the website here.
A useful die and a handy size too.

This weekend I was due to be at Burleydam Garden Centre in Chester
but the date has now changed to Saturday 13 June.
More dates and venues have been added to the tour so please stop by
the Spellbinders Tour tab on the website now and again to check where I am!
I have to keep checking!

Take care friends - wishing you all a sunny weekend.

Flowery Scalloped Pop Up Box

Hello friends

Today featuring the Scalloped Box Up Box.
I had never actually made on of these but was delighted at how simple it was.
The die set looks like this...
You need to cut 4 box panels - the embossing places your score lines, very handy!
Do not fold one of the panels - keep one straight (far left) as this is the back section
of your pop up box. Hoping you can see in this photo
that you stick the panels together in a line with the side tabs.
You can then start to decorate -
place a long piece of patterned paper on your straight back panel (see tip below).
Smaller squares of patterned paper on the remaining top panels -
these fold outwards.
Cut/emboss three of the little strips, again it embosses where you need to make folds.
These are the support sections inside and you need to place them something like this...
It is then just a case of folding the box around and adhering the last tab.
Tip: do not stick down fully that long panel of patterned paper as you can
insert the final tab behind it making a nice neat job.
Here I've decorated the box with Marisa's Bouquet and Bordered Sentiments.
Those inner support sections are for attaching your stems etc.
The pretty scallop sections are dies that come with the Pop Up Box die set,
useful to use on other projects too.
And same applies to the Bordered Sentiments, I'm seeing those on cards too.
Scalloped Pop Up Box is available on the website here,
Marisa's Bouquet is here and Bordered Sentiments are here!

Remember this box folds flat too so can be posted :)

Take care friends, hope you are having a good week -
I've had washing on the line every day...it's the little things!

Anniversary

Hello friends

A simple frame design card today, cream card base and spotty card for the frame.
I've then added Sprigs and Flower Play.
You can see here I've used the matching Flower Play stamps.
I really like the stamped effect on the die cuts, I'm now thinking black on coloured card
would look effective so watch this space...!
I tied double twine for the bow...this is as fussy as my bows get :)
The Flower Play dies and matching stamps are available here.

Thank you again for all your kind comments regarding Elliott and his MRI,
still waiting to hear from the hospital but chasing it up today.
I have discovered a hospital in London that has an alternative machine so
possibly another option and much closer to home!
Fingers and toes crossed.

Loving the sunshine, it was time for Spring cleaning the cabin yesterday -
Dad spruced up the windows for me...excellent service don't you think?!

Take care friends.

Springtime!

Hello friends

The start of a new week and delighted to report my first sighting of bluebells.
I was walking Bella in the woods on Saturday and espied them -
I love seeing the new growth and knowing Spring is definitely here.

And this is something wonderful too...
Mum and Dad have a camera in their bird box again this year and here is a very
diligent mummy bird protecting her....
 seven eggs!
This 'bird watching' is a little addictive!

Today sharing a flowery scrapbook page, the photo was taken a few years ago!
It's a very geometric design and I tend to favour these more and more.
It features Eyelet Circles, Anemone Flower Topper and Foliage dies.

Thank you for the kind messages regarding Elliott and his impending MRI scan.
It was following a comment from Linda on my blog (thank you so much Linda!)
that there is an opened sided MRI scanner in Newcastle that I've decided to investigate further.
I am currently awaiting news from his consultant at The Royal Marsden as to whether
Elliott can be referred to a different hospital - we are keeping our fingers crossed as he
needs fairly frequent MRI scans.

Take care friends - I'm back in my cabin today busily and happily crafting.
