Design Team Call!

Hi everyone

Yes, this is my big news, Hope and Chances Creativity is
 having a Design Team Call!

A lot of planning and ideas has gone into this - the most important item being
what should the design team be called!

Remember this (mum does!)

And then I came up with this.

What do you think?
If you approve I may call it Elliott's Angels but perhaps with a more subtle logo!

Seriously, are you a crafter who loves die cutting?
If so, read on for all the details.

Why should you apply?

Each month you will receive a new Spellbinders die set.
Each quarter you will receive a bonus box full of papers, cardstock, stamps, ribbon and adhesive.
Your projects will be featured on the Hope and Chances Creativity website,
blog and appear on social media sites.

What you will need to do?

Create one project per month using the die set sent to you.
Project can be your choice - card, scrapbook page, mixed media or home decor.
Submit at least two photographs of the project - high res images with a list of supplies used.

Will this team suit me?

Yes if you love die cutting!
Confident in taking photographs.
Ideal (but not essential) if you have an active blog, Facebook, Twitter accounts.

How to apply:

Please email the following information to
hope-chances@live.co.uk

Photos of 3 recent projects featuring Spellbinders dies.
A paragraph about you - your crafting history (although newbies welcome too!)
Details of any other design teams you may currently be working with.

Small print/ t and c's/legal stuff!

This design team call is not affiliated with Spellbinders®.
Open to the UK only.
Design team term will be 1 year, each team member will receive in that time period,
a total of 12 sets of dies and 4 bonus boxes.

The Design Team call is open until 7 September, chosen candidates will be notified
by email and an announcement here on the blog will be made shortly thereafter.

I'm very much looking forward to receiving your emails - happy crafting!

I'm on the move!

Hello friends

It's time for a change...I'm on the move!
Not quite lock, stock and barrel - just my blog!

My blog is changing name and will therefore be in a different place.
I am hoping you will all come with me ...please!

This is the new name... Creativity Continues
and you can find it here.

There will be a permanent link here on the sidebar to take you there
just in case you cannot find me.

This blog has had a makeover, it now matches the website and will be
hosting website news, giveaways, sales, offers etc.

So why the change?
Well, someone very close to me is taking on a new job -
there is going to be a Managing Director of Hope and Chances Creativity!

Yes it's Elliott and to be honest he's pretty much had this role
for a long time, we are just making it official.
He will be packing and sending your orders, writing up offers, organising sales,
giveaways and more - so yes stop by this blog too!
I know I can rely on Elliott to provide first class service, I've trained him well!

So what will I be doing??
Lounging with my feet up...

not likely!

I'm continuing to be very busy with Spellbinders demos, travelling up and down
the country.  I will also be maintaining my new blog with lots of projects,
the usual Friday Die Day, Ambassador Blog Hops and Charity Kits.

As always, huge thanks to you my follower friends -
so many of you take time out of your busy day to stop by and
leave comments - I never take that for granted and hugely appreciate it.

So here's to the next adventure...Creativity Continues -
come and take a look!

Take care friends

Christine and Elliott

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Blog is having a bit of a makeover today so do not be alarmed -
it's looking different but you've arrived at Friday Die Day!

I'm having a bit of a snowflake flurry!
Yesterday I featured this die set on a CAS card and today I'm featuring
it as Friday Die Day with a very different project.
Create A Flake Six

Four snowflakes to the set and the approximate measurements are:

Snowflake 1: 1¼”
Snowflake 2: 1¼ x 1½”
Snowflake 3: 1½ x 1¾”
Snowflake 4: 3 x 3⅜”
This is how they look cut/embossed.
I chose to cut two of each snowflake (omitted the roundish one).
Adhered them together to make them thicker and then arranged them onto a piece of white.
I positioned some of them off the edge of the paper.
I then decided to get a little bit messy!
Applied some texture paste.
Once dry I applied a layer of white paint.
Then adding colour - these are the Donna Salazar Pigment Powders.
I kept rubbing various colours over the snowflakes and background until I was
happy with the result.
Added some metal snowflakes, ribbon and twine.
Attached the panel to the front of a notebook.
The finished project.
A close up pic.
Very different to my normal projects but I enjoyed getting a little bit messy!
Also shows the wonderful versatility of Create A Flake Six.
Take care friends -
wishing you all a wonderful weekend and hopefully the sun will return...
been a bit damp and grey in the South East.

Sunday Giveaway Winner

Hello friends

Had a lovely BBQ for my Dad's birthday, it did rain - typical!
But it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves and eating rather a lot.

Finally...announcing the winner of the Sunday Giveaway...
a set of pre-loved Snowflake Bliss dies.
And the winner is....

Liz Turnbull

Congratulations Liz, please email hope-chances@live.co.uk with your address
and they will be flurrying straight out to you!

So now I've shown you these snowflakes...how about some more?

This is a very quick, clean and simple card featuring the new Create A Flake Six,
I love these dies as you can use them separately or layer them up for a very
ornate snowflake.
I've achieved my matting with 5 x 7 Matting Basics.

Take care friends and stop by again soon.

As always, all proceeds to Ronald McDonald House Camberwell,
Last week the house emailed and said....

Huge thanks to you all!

I must mention my Dad ...it's his birthday today -
Happy Birthday Dad, love you lots.
We are celebrating with a bbq tonight - yes, that's where you can eat
twice your own body weight in meat and it's perfectly acceptable!

You're A Shining Star!

Hello friends

This week a project of mine went live on the Spellbinders blog here.
It features the new Shining Star die set.

I was thrilled to use the bunting on a cupcake - can I just say the cupcake
went to a very good home following photography!
On the card I've used Pierced Rectangles along with...yes you've guessed it -
Marisa's Bouquet flowers!

There's a full tutorial for this project here if you fancy a nose.

I haven't forgotten to announce a winner for last Sunday's giveaway...
it will be coming very soon so please check back to see if it's you!

Take care friends and hope your weekend is going well.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

It's Friday Die Day!
Did you recall me saying I was knee deep in Christmas?
Well, today's I'm talking about Stylized Trees.
A lovely die set with three styles of trees, skinny, chevron and curly tip,
you also receive two types of tree bases, a candy (a sweet to us!)
and the all important star for the top!
Here are the approximate sizes:
Star: ¾”
Round Candy: ¾”
Tree Base 1: 1⅛ x 1⅛”
Tree Base 2: 1⅛ x 1½”
Tree 1 (Skinny): 1⅞ x 3¾”
Tree 2 (Chevron): 2 ⅞ x 3¾”
Tree 3 (Curly Tip): 3⅛ x 3¾”

This is how they look cut/embossed.
The curly tip die has lovely embossed snowflakes so I inked through to highlight those.

My card base, textured cream cardstock cut using 6 x 6 Matting Basics A
a snow mound cut with A2 Scalloped Borders Two,
stamped sentiment and first tree in place.
Skinny tree adhered with 3D Foam Squares.
Curly tree added.
Stars cut/embossed from gold mirror card, then 6 x 6 Matting Basics for
more gold mirror card and a black card base.
It's a fun card and pretty good for batch making!

Take care friends and wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
I'm Peterborough bound at Sir Stampalot - car is packed,
Mum is coming along too!
